For the SHIMADZU – crcCARE Analytical Award for Innovation in Analytical Sciences 2026 that recognises the best research paper presenting a reliable and new analytical, rapid and easy-to-use method for the analysis of a challenging analyte – be it an emergent or conventional contaminant.

Who is eligible?

All early-career* researchers and technical officers working to develop analytical methods are invited to apply. This includes individuals working at universities, research centres and institutes, commercial and non-commercial laboratories, and government and private organisations.(*) Current students (honours, master's and PhD) or researchers who have completed PhD within the last 5 years.

Selection Criteria

Nominated analytical methods will be assessed according to:

  • Originality
  • Impact
  • Innovation


How to enter

Download and complete the nomination form. Ensure that your nomination addresses the selection criteria for assessment. Submissions must include the published paper, a completed nomination form detailing how the method's development meets the selection criteria, and three referee reports. 

Nominations should be sent to Ratin Mathur, Industry Training Manager, at ratin.mathur@crccare.com  by close of business on Monday 31st August 2026.

Notes

  • Nominees may submit a maximum of two (2) entries
  • The nominee should own any Intellectual Property (IP) associated with the nomination.
  • Nominations should be protected by appropriate patents, registered designs, plant breeders’ rights, or trademarks
  • Evidence may be required to prove the entry has been formally declared a completed and viable product, or that the product is in a significant trial implementation
  • Self-nominations are permitted
